±1±: Best Buy This is the latest addition to the home gym, living next to the Elliptical and Treadmill. I mostly got the upright bike to cross train, since my primary indoor exercise (until it gets back warm) is the treadmill. It's hard to improve if you are working the same muscles everytime, so that's where the bike comes in.

My first one came damaged, I usually ship stuff like this FedEx because UPS is too rough, but didn't. Anyways it's Amazon so they sent a replacement right away, I have never had a bad customer experience with Amazon. The replacement came FedEx and was in perfect shape.

Setup took a couple of hours, didn't really track exactly bus basically a Saturday morning. The directions are not great, but there is only one tricky piece which is the handlebar column and the electronics.

There are a couple other reviews about only working for people 5 foot 10, I am 5 foot 11, but there should be no problem for people much taller. I don't think they realize that there are 3 different adjustments, the front handlebar moves forward, the seat moves back and the seat moves up. The only obvious one is the seat moving up, so my guess is they had the other two in the default position. I think you could make the correct adjustments based on your physique to easily accommodate someone over 6 feet.

The workout is good, there are several different programs. I usually do more manual mode stuff so I can't comment to much on the programs. There is one that tries to keep a certain heartrate and adjusts resistance based on that which is nice. I will probably try the hill next to see how that does. The resistance levels are very good, I've never had a problem getting a hard workout.

I'm happy with this machine, the only con was I really could have gone with the higher end Schwinn which is made by the same company and save a little money, but Amazon was out of stock and I didn't want to wait. Overall very happy with the machine and the cross training it provides. on Sale!

The box arrived yesterday in less than a week after ordering. It took more effort to get the bike and parts out of the box than putting it together. It took roughly 30 minutes to put it together and 15 minutes to fight everything out of the box, unwrapping, cutting, etc, but it was packed very well.
This bike is worth the money and cheaper than other bikes. Also the wheel is heavier, so that is another reason to buy it.
The downside is, that it should not be used for people who are very tall, or heavyweight, it is a better bike for vertically challenged people, like myself.
It is so pretty and shiny too.
I will give it a four star, because something is wrong with the bike and it makes noise, but I will look into it and fix it , it might needs some oiling or adjusting.
If it did arrive perfect, then I would have given it a five star.The wheel was already assembled to the frame, which made it easier and faster in completing the rest of the bike into one piece.
It is a really good price for a bike that is very close to gym quality and highly recommendable.

I had my knee replaced in January and had just completed several weeks of Physical Therapy. Part of my PT was riding an Airdyne bike for several minutes. As a bonus from my PT and surgery, I lost 15 pounds. My husband, who is a runner, was looking for something to do for cross training. He often picked me up from PT and started talking with one of the therapists who is also a runner. My husband started looking at the airdyne and he tried it out at PT. He was hooked. So we bought one and have it set up in the den so we can watch TV while riding. Plus the big fan keeps you cool. The one we got is slightly different from the one I used in PT, but the only real difference is the computer attachment to tell you how many miles you are riding and for how long.

I admit, I was a bit skeptical when I was doing comparisons. This bike looked too good to be true. Well, it is a solid well built machine. Rides smooth and quiet. Fitting is adequate. This is a real value and will give you as much back as any bike at twice the price. It is heavy, but if you have a dolly it is a piece of cake to get in and set up. I put it together in under 20 minutes. Just lube the adjustable parts and it's so simple.

My title pretty much sums it up, but let me dig into a few more details for you dear reader.

This spin bike is everything I was looking for. It is the equivalent of the spin bikes at the gym I used to be a member of. Those were Lemond bikes, though not the latest models, but still very nice ones - and very pricey!

I'm 6'1" with a long torso and this bike has all of the adjustments that I need. I was looking at the less expensive spin bikes here on Amazon, but the one thing they lacked was the ability to adjust the handlebars fore/aft. That was an option I wasn't willing to do without, so I reluctantly paid more. I wasn't sure if the bike would be up to par and there were no dealers nearby that I could try before buying. Knowing Amazon has an excellent return policy, I took a chance on this one after much online research and comparison.

The belt drive is smooth and quiet! The seat is comfortable to me, but I'm a former road racer. It's a personal item and can easily be changed out for another seat since it uses a standard mount. Also, the pedals are standard bike pedals, so they can be changed out to whatever you prefer. The ones that came with it have clips/straps on one side if you don't have or care to use cleated shoes. The other side are SPD cleat ready and the cleats are included! You will need shoes that can accommodate SPD cleats if you decide to use them and there are several models and styles to choose from here on Amazon or your preferred bike accessory dealer.

The handlebars are quite nice with multiple styles for different riding positions. Time trial, Triathlon, etc. You can also hold on to the top bar as you would find on a traditional bike. It is only missing the drop style (road bike). They are covered with a foam padding which is sufficient. I also wear padded cycling gloves and am comfortable, though I may wrap the bars with an even more comfortable handlebar tape.

I like the heavier 44lb flywheel which is perfectly balanced. This provides a smooth pedal stroke and feel to the "ride."

The entire bike is very stable and has a very solid feel. There is no movement or rocking even with out of the saddle hard peddling.

The wheels on the front crossbar are helpful for moving the bike around for a short distance. They are as adequate as I've seen on other spin bikes costing more.

Assembly was very easy, though the instructions need to be updated. Parts had been changed, but were not reflected in the manual. Actually it went together easier and quicker than the way the instructions were written. But, it is easy to figure out on your own.

The water bottle cage and water bottle are a nice touch. I would have added a universal one, but this one attaches to the already threaded down tube.

The tension adjustment is smooth and uses dual pads against the flywheel. I have found there is plenty of adjustment range.

Finally, this bike gets good marks for overall appearance. In my opinion, it looks as good as any spin bike you would find in any gym yet it cost much less.

I used to spin at a local gym and loved doing so. I'm glad I know have the option to do so at home whenever time allows.

My buying experience with Amazon was as good as always. I ordered it on a Friday afternoon selecting Super Saver Shipping and it was delivered by the following Wednesday. This was also a holiday weekend (Memorial Day). I'm impressed!

The pedal exerciser I purchased for my father works wonderfully. He can adjust the tension and the rubber feet keep it in place as he pedals. It's great because it allows my dad to get the benefit of a stationary bike without the possibility of losing his balance as he gets on and off one. He simply puts it in front of his chair and starts pedaling. In less than one week he can already feel his muscle tone improving. My mother likes to use it for her arms, too. They are both quite pleased with it.

The Schwinn Airdyne is one of the most complete exercises a person can do for over all fitness. Obviously it provides a dual workout using the upper and lower body. I use it to prepare for the winter ski season and the summer hiking/peak bagging season. The aerobic conditioning is top notch, and Dr. Ken Cooper (Aerobics, 1968) stated in his 1982 book (The Aerobics Program for Total Well Being) that the Airdyne was one of the best, if not the best ergonomic machine to use for conditioning.

I bought mine from a Schwinn store and it arrived assembled. In 6 years I have taken it in twice for a "tune up". But structurally the equipment is sound and there hasn't been major issues. I ride the Airdyne 3-4 times a week, usually for 30 minutes and when I use it regularly I can get my resting heart rate from the mid 70's to the 50's.

The recumbent bike was easy to put together, materials are for the most part pretty good quality, it was easy to utilize and ride. My only complaint is that the knob for adjusting the height of the bike seat comes loose with riding it for a short time. So, you have to tighten it on a regular basis. But for the price I think it's a small annoyance. Overall, for the price it's a great bike.

The bike is great. Everything else everyone said positive in their previous reviews is true - easy to assemble (although the electronics connections could have been secured and labeled better), smooth silent operation, comfortable etc. Everyone's shipping concerns were valid too - neither one I received was in a completely intact box. Why did I get more than one? After receiving and assembling the first one, I found out the resistance motor was inoperable. The part was on a month backorder from Schwinn even before arranging for installation. Was going that route and changed my mind, repacked and returned it and ordered another one. If you need assembly help, I'm really good at it now. Good thing Amazon is tops in customer service, at least for me. But anyway, after 25 years of daily use of a standard exercise bike, I really like this one after my first 3 weeks of use. I don't need or care for all the electronics, but they're great if you like that kind of stuff.

This trainer is so good!
With few adjustments, it fits my mountain bike perfectly.
Literally took me less than 5 minutes to figure out how to assemble and actually assemble it.
Now I can ride my mountain bike indoor when outside is freezing code.
Only one thing that confuses me. I did not use the central axle that is provided with the package.
The rack itself supports my bike's axle nicely so didn't see why I would need the extra axle.
I also don't mind the noise, kind of see it as part of the fun.

What to Do With Old Fitness Equipment

Everyone has a tread mill, bike or elliptical that is sitting in the basement or bedroom collecting dust and/or occasionally serving as a large, extremely expensive clothes hanger. There are many reasons why used exercise equipment is abandoned in this way.

Some of us buy athletic items with every intention of shedding unwanted pounds but life and reality often intrude and soon we lose the initiative to hit the old recumbent bicycle. Others may get good use out of their fitness equipment but will stop when wear and tear sets in. Most people will even abandon their athletic gear when their digital counters cease to work.

Whatever the reason for this, the truth is old fitness equipment does not have to sit around the house just taking up space, there are things you can do!

Making used exercise equipment useful

Athletic Accessories and instruments don't have to die an undignified death. Below are a few things you can look at in regards to breathing new life into old gear.

- Sell it -- why take a complete loss? Sure you won't get what you initially pad for it, but isn't the real point simply getting rid of it?

- Recycle it for the eco conscience, the idea of recycling old fitness equipment would be pure ecstasy. Not only do you eradicate the clutter in your home, you help the environment to boot!

- Have it picked up it may cost money to have your equipment hauled off, so be sure you really want to get rid of these items once and for all before placing that call.

Not ready to give up on your old fitness equipment just yet but the items in question haven't worked right in ages?

Then try having it refurbished. Fixing the thing may end up being a lot less costly than trying to replace it outright. Besides fixing something small, like a digital counter that is no longer working, could be as simple as ordering a simple battery form the manufacturer.

Other tips for old fitness equipment

There is no written rule that says that used athletic equipment can't simply be given away to charity. Poor people would probably love to get their hands on something like that, i.e., a luxury item they could seldom afford that would better their overall health.

Also, if you have a friend or family member who has decided to go on a health kick you can always suggest giving your used exercise equipment to them. They may be more than happy to take the items off of your hands as this would enable them to get started on their new health quest with minimum investment.

All and all, just be creative and try to think of the best ways in which your old fitness equipment could be put to good use.

Who knows? Thinking about getting rid of these things may every well put you back on track fitness wise and empower you to put your equipment to good use once again.professional in the event of pipe damage will make repair, clean up, and restoration, much easier and less stressful.

I bought this with hopes to use it at work under my desk while working. The machine definitely fits under the desk and I was hopeful. Maybe it's because my legs are fat, but my knees hit the underside of my desk when making a full rotation on the machine. There needs to be a way to adjust the height of the machine - six inches lower and I'd be good.

Well made equipment - durable. It does not tighten tight enough to raise the tension enough for legs. For an arm workout it's good.

Was a little leary about what I was receiving. After some research I chose this Stamina 4545 because of the price. I am not mechanical and it took 4 hours for me to put together.
